A Little History of Tombstone

HELLDORADO 2014
OCTOBER 17-19

A very warm and sincere “Welcome” to all of you from the Helldorado board of Directors.  My goodness!  It has been a year already since we last celebrated the anniversary of Helldorado.  Eighty-five years is a long time.  So much has changed in the world, and yet the citizens of Tombstone throw open their town to welcome people who love the history and magic of Tombstone.  We hope this is your anniversary for many Helldorado visits.  If it is your first visit, I’m pretty sure it won’t be your last.  Once you become part of Helldorado and part of Tombstone, Tombstone and Helldorado will become part of you.

Now is the time to make arrangements to be with us for our 85th anniversary. So, get your Participation Entry Form in soon.

Friday will start off with the National Anthem at 10:10am, followed by continuous entertainment every ten to fifteen minutes until around 4:30pm.

Saturday will be a very action packed day, starting at 10:00am and running to 4:45pm, with over 25-30 different entertainment groups from gunfighters, line dancers, cowboy stories, music and just plain good old fun.

Please join us at the Old Timer’s Reunion party at the Rose Tree Museum on Friday night at 6:30PM. Please come by and let us know what you think of the event, meet our Helldorado Grand Marshals and become part of the history of this great town and event. We hope you have a wonderful, memorable time at Helldorado and we want to see you again next year.

Something new this year. We will be hosting a Hospitality Room, located at the check-in rooms on 4th St. It will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10:00AM for coffee and doughnuts, for all the re-enactors to wake up to.

Saturday, at the Hospitality room, starting about 11:00AM, there will be finger food and beverages until they run out, so be there. This will be a place to sit and relax with after a show, while having a refreshment or two as well as a snack.

On Sunday, the parade will kick off at 11:00am. Get your entry form in soon.

The now renowned Cowboy Walk-down, will step off from 6th and Allen following the parade. It will be a great opportunity for everyone to show their stuff for the 1,000's of cameras along the route.

We will once again have our beard and mustache contest on Saturday afternoon. Get started growing them out.

Another 1851 Navy Brass, 7 1/2", 36 caliber, Black Power Revolver will be raffled off approximately 4:PM on Sunday. Tickets on sale all weekend long, $1.00 for one ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00

SO, Get ready for Helldorado 2014, October, 17, 18 and 19
